Drug Quick-Check
Check a medicine before you buy or take it. Free, no ads. This app never says a drug is real or fake. NAFDAC does. We show you where to ask.
1. Look at the pack
- Seal broken or loose? Stop.
- Spelling mistakes or blurry print? Stop.
- No NAFDAC registration number? Stop.
- No batch number or expiry date, or the date is rubbed off? Stop.
- Price far lower than other shops? Be careful.
- Bought from a roadside seller or market stall? Buy from a licensed pharmacy instead.
2. Check the NAFDAC number
Find the NAFDAC number on the pack and look it up in NAFDAC's official list of registered products (the Greenbook). If the name and number do not match, do not use it.
Open NAFDAC Greenbook3. Scratch-code text check
Some packs have a scratch panel. Scratch it, then text the code to the short code printed on the pack. NAFDAC lists these providers. NAFDAC says the scheme covers anti-malarial and antibiotic medicines. Your network may charge for the SMS.
